Why I Created This Project

What you'll find here isn't based on theory.
It comes from real experience — from years of living with stuttering and trying everything to fix it.

Hi, I'm Josef.
I used to stutter a lot. It was worst in daily life — at school, at work, even with people I knew well.
Speech therapy didn't help. Online tips didn't work. I felt stuck for years.

So at one point, I realized I had to figure it out on my own.

Step by step, I discovered a few techniques and mindset shifts that actually made a difference.
They didn't just make things a little better — they gave me back the ability to speak normally.
And over time, I realized that if these tools helped me, they might help others too.

That's why I started Untrapt.
To share something real — something I wish I had found a few years earlier.

If you've tried everything and still struggle, you're not alone.
This project is here to show that it is possible to stop feeling trapped.

Note for Parents

This project is for teens and adults who stutter — especially those who can reflect on their own speech and try specific tools.
If you're a parent of a preschool child (under 6), some disfluency at that age is still a normal part of early development.
When in doubt, it's best to talk to a speech therapist who specializes in working with young children.
